Episode#19: Your Kisses Cause Crashes

If you haven't heard the name Your Kisses Cause Crashes, then write it down. These guys and gal have been kicking ass and taking names in their brief tenure as a four-piece band. Originally founded as the duo of guitarist/vocalist Andy "The Nicest (and Drunkest) Guy In Austin Indie Rock" Kaminski and Michelle "Meeshell" Jones, YKCC were reborn last year from a five-year hiatus. They've been playing lots of booze-soaked shows at Red River clubs like Emos and Elysium, as well as spreading the love to Houston's emerging indie scene. Your Kisses clearly love live music, and not just playing it. It seems like I bump into the band checking out shows every week, from Creekside to The Parish to Hole In The Wall. They're fans, not just musicians. That's the kind of community spirit I love to see from local bands. Hey, speaking of love (yeah, lame transition)... Your Kisses are playing a special Valentine's Day show, Saturday at Club De Ville. It's their debut EP release party.
