Local show picks: Friday 11/06

If local music is sexy, then 'Nites is porn for your ears and eyes. No one has as many original videos and photos of up-and-coming Austin bands. On Friday, the Mohawk hosts an Austinist-presented event called Local Music Is Sexy. It features some great local bands. If you're into supporting all things local, this is the show to catch. But arguably more exciting than the bands is the panel discussion that takes place at Mohawk before the music starts. The cleverly titled After The Jump will feature bloggers and media figures from national publications like SPIN, Aquarium Drunkard, WOXY, and the Statesman.
