Live photos: The White White Lights at Beauty Bar

The White White Lights have fast become one of my favorite local bands. They bring it every time. Their performances are intense, particularly that of guitarist Deluxe, who has a habit of literally beating up on his guitar (punching and throwing).

Lead singer/keyboardist Jenny Gacy is hard to ignore (and I don't just mean because of the French maid outfit she rocked at this Halloween show). She has a strong voice and great stage presence. The rhythm section is solid and keeps the chaos controlled. You can see The White White Lights at the Blanton art museum on the University of Texas campus Friday. Visit the band on MySpace.
